Application Procedure for International Students

Please complete the Application Form and return to New Zealand Institute of English

When we have received your application and you have met all requirements we will send you the following;

  1. A Cover letter
  2. A Conditional Letter of Offer
  3. A Confirmation of Acceptance
  4. A Copy of Terms & Conditions
  5. An Application Procedure
  6. An International Study Check List


On receiving our documents, please send/fax back your signed Confirmation of Acceptance form and pay your course fees as soon as possible to confirm your placement (You need to pay at latest 10 days before the course starts)

Apply for your passport and visa, purchase your plane tickets and medical & travel insurance

We will then issue you a receipt of Fees and send the following:

  1. A Receipt
  2. A Letter of Acceptance
  3. A Specific Course Details
  4. A Specific Accommodation Details/A Guarantee of Accommodation
  5. Student Handbook
  6. Orientation & Support Service Programme


You will fill in the International Study Check List including passport details, visa details, medical & travel insurance details, flight details, contact details, emergency contact details and send it to back to us with supporting documentation

You will be met upon arrival at Wellington airport by NZIS International Liaison Officer and provided with an Information Package.

  • A Map of Wellington City
  • A Bus/Train Timetables including Routes and Costs
