If you have an accident in NZ then NZ’s national insurer ACC will pay for the costs. Although, sometimes you may need to pay some extra costs. Find out more at www.acc.co.nz
Immigration
If you want to study for more than 3 months you need a student (or limited purpose) visa. If you want to study for less than 3 months you can study on a visitor visa. It usually takes 4-8 weeks for your visa application. For a student visa you need to pay your course fees and show that you have enough money to travel to NZ. See your embassy or the NZ immigration website for more information: www.immigration.govt.nz
Health Services
Most international students have to pay for their doctor, dentist and hospital visits. In other words, you health services are not free. For more information see the Ministry of Health website at www.moh.govt.nz
